WALL-E (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) (Eco Vinyl 2 LP)

Mondo, in proud partnership with Walt Disney Records, is pleased to present Thomas Newman’s Grammy Awards®-winning score to Disney/Pixar’s WALL-E.
For its first appearance on vinyl, the soundtrack was remastered for the medium and pressed on 2x 140 gram eco vinyl. Featuring all-new artwork by Nicole Gustafsson and liner notes by Andrew Stanton.
Giacchino started his early career at Disney Interactive Division where he had the opportunity to write music for video games. After moving to DreamWorks Interactive, he was asked to score the temp track for the video game adaptation of The Lost World: Jurassic Park. Subsequently, franchise creator Steven Spielberg hired him as the game’s composer and it became the first PlayStation game to have a live orchestral score, recorded with members of the Seattle Symphony. Now, 25 years later, Giacchino comes full circle with this soundtrack to the epic conclusion of the Jurassic era, recorded with 87 orchestra members and 30 choir members at Abbey Road Studios in London. Fans can expect Giacchino’s usual tongue-in-cheek track titles that highlight the action of the score cues.
To celebrate the 15th anniversary of this beloved achievement in film, WALL-E’s Oscar®-nominated soundtrack is now available on (what else?) eco vinyl.
Nominated for both Best Original Score and Best Original Song at the 81st Academy Awards®, Thomas Newman’s exemplary work remains an emotional tour de force. The tracklist includes both Grammy Awards®-winners “Down to Earth” and “Define Dancing,” as well as fan favorites “La Vie en Rose” and “Put On Your Sunday Clothes.”
