Police are at their wits end searching for a serial killer who committed more than a dozen attacks on single mothers with children. A ruthless maniac always leaves the same thing at the crime scene - the tortured and burned corpse of a woman and practically no evidence to trace him. The National Security Service comes to the aid of the police, on whose instructions scientists, using a single hair of the killer found at the crime scene, created his genetic double - a replicant. Experts believe that the clone, thanks to genetic memory, is able to lead them to the trail of the original. The operation is entrusted to policeman Jake, who pursued the maniac for a long time and unsuccessfully and even became his personal enemy.
