Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953)
One of Marilyn Monroe's most popular films. This is a story about two showgirls looking for happiness. Monroe plays the role of a stunning blonde who is only interested in diamonds and money, and Jane Russell plays the role of a brunette who dreams of true love. Two beauties, who went on a transatlantic cruise to Paris and immediately became an object of worship on the part of the male passengers, will have to go through many tests on the way to finding their happiness. Imbued with true feelings and subtle ironic humor, this is undoubtedly one of those films that will never go out of style.
How to Marry a Millionaire (1953)
New York doesn't believe in tears. Traditional situation: three blonde models are looking for millionaire husbands. To implement their plans, the girls rent a luxury apartment in an elite area and begin to implement their plans. Three months pass - the last furniture from the apartment has been sold, but not a single suitable shipment is on the horizon. By the end of the film, passions are heating up, and two friends have a dilemma: money or love? Only the third, at first glance, seems to be doing well. But this is only at first glance.
River of No Return (1954)
After the death of his wife, Matt Calder and his son try to start a new life in the vast wilderness of the American northwest. But Calder gets in the way of Harry Weston, a gambler who brutally beats and robs him. Weston's beautiful bride nurses Calder, causing her fiancé to be insanely jealous. Risking the lives of the heroes of this brilliant western, Westoy conceives an insidious plan and forces everyone to go with him along a treacherous mountain river...
There's No Business Like Show Business (1954)
Ithel Marman and Dan Daly are the main people here, as in a vaudeville Donahue, who carry first one, then another and then the third of their offspring onto the stage for a final encore, making jokes and funny gestures as they run, and in the end it turns out that in The deck also has a fourth and a fifth Donahue. Well, this comparison is not familiar to us, like most of American show business, but even from this we can draw a conclusion about the quality and mood of the picture. Ithel Marman is hilariously funny. She is the belt of all singing school stylists when they are not on stage or in front of a microphone. "Show Business" works in every way. The orchestration and vocal performances of I. Berlin's standards are so deeply respected that I want to give her a fresh assessment every time.
The Seven Year Itch (1955)
Book publisher Richard Sherman has been married for seven years. His wife and son are once again leaving the city for the holidays. Richard's loneliness does not last long, suddenly a huge pot of tomatoes falls on his balcony, and the fault of this is his neighbor from the top floor, a blond advertising model. Richard invites the beauty to come visit him and have something to drink. A gorgeous blonde in a deep neckline, without allowing her neighbor to come to his senses, appears in his apartment with a bottle of champagne in her hand... From that moment on, the hero’s rich imagination draws not only fabulous pictures of winning the heart of a seductive beauty, but also humiliating scenes of his wife exposing his infidelity... In this film, the most famous scene with Marilyn Monroe is when the air flow from the subway ventilation shaft lifts the heroine's skirt.
Some Like It Hot (1959)
When Chicago musicians Joe and Jerry accidentally witness a gang shootout, they quickly flee by train to Florida, pretending to be women. Now they are Josephine and Daphne, the new and “pretty” instrumentalists of a female jazz band. For the time being, their disguise works. But soon the loving soloist “falls” for “Josephine” dressed as a man, the elderly playboy falls in love with “Daphne”, and the mafia boss, having unraveled the mystery of the masquerade, decides to urgently deal with the witnesses...
The Misfits (1961)
Seductive and sad, Roslyn came to the town of Reno specifically to divorce her husband. At a local bar, Roslyn and her friend Isabelle, a cheerful lady of advanced “middle age” and a divorce specialist, meet two cowboys.
