Much time has passed since the lion Simba overthrew his evil uncle Scar and regained the throne of the king of the savannah. He and Queen Nala already have a daughter, Princess Kiara. However, entrusted to the frivolous cares of our old friends Timon and Pumbaa, the mischievous and naughty Kiara does not yet resemble the future queen. One day, having escaped to the Forbidden Land, she meets the lion cub Kovu, who becomes her best friend. But the princess doesn’t know that this friendship could cost her her crown! Kovu is Scar’s heir, and even if he doesn’t take after the old schemer, his mother Zira sleeps and sees how to put her son on the throne. And the stronger the friendship between Kiara and Kovu, the thicker the clouds over Simba’s tribe...
