Big Trouble in Little China
A truck driver witnesses his friend's fiancee being stolen in San Francisco's Chinatown. It turns out that the beauty was kidnapped by a certain Chinese magician of “advanced” age, who has been living in the world for a couple of thousand years; he wants to marry her and rejuvenate. Chases, fights, a cascade of stunts and special effects, and a fair amount of irony make this parody extravaganza an extremely exciting spectacle... Although the location shooting seems real, 90 percent of the film was shot in sound stages built at the Fox studio, including Chinatown itself. A martial arts expert who developed the Jan-Fan kick-boxing technique for the legendary Bruce Lee took part in the staging of stunts and combat fights.
