After the death of his master, Frank Lucas, the quiet driver of a Harlem crime boss, decides to create his own criminal empire. His specialty is heroin, which he imports directly from Southeast Asia. Lucas considers himself a businessman and competes with other groups according to all the rules of a market economy, offering a higher quality product at a lower price. Earning a million dollars a day and adhering to the rules of the game once established for himself, he becomes an idol for all of Harlem, but Richie Roberts is already following in Frank’s footsteps - a rare example of an honest police officer in New York, hated by his colleagues.
