USSR, 1988-1989, a few months before the complete withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan. After months of hellish training under the command of a ruthless sergeant major, seven conscripts find themselves thrust into the crucible of the Afghan campaign. A group of paratroopers, of which our heroes became fighters, receives a command assignment - to occupy a height and hold it until the column passes.
