There Lived a Song Thrush (1970)
The young man rushes around the city, tries to please everyone, tries to be nice to everyone, and does not find a single minute to do work. Gia is a composer, but he works in an opera orchestra and plays an instrument that does not require his constant presence. This instrument is called a kettledrum. You have to hit it once - then there is a long pause, sometimes until the last act. And then you have to arrive on time to hit it again in the finale. And in between all this, he manages to do many strange and absurd things, for which for some reason everyone loves him.

Favorites of the Moon (1984)

Butterfly Hunt (1992)
In a large estate live two elderly ladies and a maid. The castle is desired by capitalists who are ready to wait at least fifty years before moving in. The old ladies resist, do not want to give in to them. Suddenly one of the sisters dies, and the estate passes to the heirs, after which, naturally, the castle immediately, without regret, passes into the hands of pragmatists who have nothing in common with it.
Georgia Alone (1994)
The film "Georgia Alone" is a personal and at the same time documentary testimony of the era. A living fresco reflecting the 2000-year history of a people deeply attached to their country, which they have to defend and constantly fight with dragons, like Saint George, who gave this land its name. These dragons were the Greeks, the Romans, the Mongols, the Persians, and the Ottoman Empire. But none of them managed to tame the freedom-loving spirit of the Georgians.
The Robbers. Chapter VII (1996)
Vano is the king of a tiny country. This country is beautiful, rich and the object of desire of neighboring rulers. Therefore, Vano spends all his time in wars. As expected, his entourage consists of malcontents, hypocrites, jealous people and traitors. Queen Eka is bored, and even a chastity belt does not pose a hindrance to her. Fortunately, the Sultan's beloved wife, Leah, who was won back in a successful battle, was able to successfully replace the queen. And yet, she did not forgive her kidnapper and found revenge in a glass of poisoned wine. But either Vano was destined to live long, or Leah had an unsteady hand ...
Vano is a petty pickpocket, perhaps even too clever to remain unnoticed by the beautiful revolutionary Eka, who uses his talent to serve her cause. After the victory, they climb the ladder of the new power together: a bright socialist future opens up before them. But, as in the old days, success brings envy, discontent and betrayal. One day at a party, all the "friends" get drunk and, despite the fact that "there is truth in wine", not every truth should be spoken out loud. So they end up in prison...
Nowadays, Vano's small country is still beautiful, but for some strange reason, his fellow citizens feel the need to kill each other. Some shoot from rooftops at anything that moves, others drive around the streets in tanks. While some fight, others loot and get rich. What is there to do in the midst of all this chaos? Just drink with friends. And then Vano decides to leave his beautiful small country and go to the huge capital of a foreign country, where, they say, life is easy...

Monday Morning (2002)
Vincent, a provincial Provencal father of a family and an artist at heart, is bored to death with the same thing every day. For him, every Monday morning begins with the same ritual, followed by monotonous work at a chemical plant.
Neither his children nor his wife need him for a long time, he has no friends, his neighbors are envious. And one day Vincent decides to see the world and goes to Venice. Perhaps there he will find what he was missing...
Gardens in Autumn (2006)
Who would have thought that Minister Vincent would end up on the street? Vincent's services to the nation are significant. In his youth, he was a biologist who invented a discreet but effective weapon of mass destruction: genetically modified insects - fleas that cause convulsions and killer wasps. At thirty, he was already a member of the Academy of Sciences. To neutralize his talent as an inventor, he was appointed Minister of Agriculture. He became an old bore, already in his sixties, and rested on his laurels.
Naturally, he has enemies who patiently dig his grave. Everything begins with well-planned actions: shouts, protests, furious speeches, restless mooing cows, sheep and ducks, manure scattered on the boulevards, tractors...
Shantrapa (2010)
Nicolas is a rebellious artist, and many would like to silence him. Ideologists want this because his work does not agree with the views of the system. Because of this, he leaves his country and moves to France - the country of freedom and democracy.
The new country welcomes him warmly – fortunately, his talent has crossed the borders! But very quickly, Nicholas encounters other obstacles. There are no ideologists here, only “friendly” businessmen who explain to him that his work is of little or no interest to anyone. Well, his work is not capable of generating profit. But who is Nicholas? An artist who craves self-expression? A man who simply wants to get money for his work? Nicholas is not an unrecognized genius or a dangerous revolutionary. He is simple and quiet in life, a free man, regardless of the circumstances. Perhaps this is the source of his torment…
Winter Song (2015)
Some of the similarities are disturbing. For example, between the beheaded viscount, the army chaplain with gangster-like chest tattoos, the baptized soldiers, the robbers and rapists, and many others. There is a building where the lives of almost all of these characters intersect. And yet, even in this chaos, there is room for dreams, love and true friendship, and this gives hope that tomorrow will be better than today.
