Los Angeles, 1949. Brooklyn-born, brutal gang leader Mickey Cohen keeps the city under a tight rein, collecting dirty money from drugs, guns and prostitution, and - if all goes well - there won't be a mouse squealing West of Chicago without his knowledge. He is protected not only by his own thugs, but also by the police and politicians who are on his hook.
